Polygiene’s permanent textile treatment is bluesign® approved. bluesign® is the textile industry’s most demanding international environmental certification, which takes the entire product life cycle into account.

bluesign® technologies & Oeko-tex certified
Polygiene’s permanent textile treatment is bluesign® approved which means it meets rigorous independent environmental and product life cycle standards. It is also on the Oeko-tex list (I-IV) of independently tested and certified products.
The treatment is manufactured in the EU with minimal use of resources and conforms to strict environmental regulations. It is based on low concentrations of silver salt which is recovered from recycled silver in electronics waste.
Polygiene is not nano-silver so it cannot pass into the body from a treated garment.
Polygiene works solely with recycled silver extracted in accordance with European Commission regulations, including those on environmental and waste management, and the ISO 14001 standard.
The purity of the recycled silver is strictly controlled and does not contain any residue of other metals.
Only very small amounts of silver are required for treating garments with Polygiene so that they achieve highly effective odour control performance.

Washing and drying accounts for two thirds (2/3) of the environmental impact of a product. Polygiene treated textiles do not need to be washed as often, which saves water, energy, time and money as well as improve the lifespan of a product.
